Now with Kinect support. Discuss.....
Personally, I think it's lame.

I just want to see some cheap, fun games available on XBLA that make use of Kinect, and focus on
gameplay
.
What I don't want is Kinect-integration just because they can. It must enhance the game.

I got a page not found message when I click the link. I'm not surprised though and I'm not excited to be honest.

Page worked for me just now... Will only be excited when a track-list is revealed. Until then, I'm not really surprised. Also, I'm not buying into this whole Kinect thing. Less gimmicks, more gameplay please.

One question...
Why?
It will be like Mario Carts with pretty graphics. So far the announced games for Kinect have been underwhelming.

I posted a reply on G4's FM-Kinect page. I think we would all agree to this.
Quote
The only question is whether they will fix what they broke in multiplayer.
FM2 = epic
FM3 = WTF
They want to be the leader in the next big move in console entertainment. Hands free is looking to be the next move. Its going to be hard to push graphics much further. So you focus on the huge franchises to move your product with support. I would figure a Halo version as well coming around the same time frame.
Do I think its going to be worth it. Not really.
But if they fix the multiplayer back to FM2 with a open to public/private hosted room and tuning in lobbies. We just might have to take the jump.
Only question is how is it going to pick up feet or pedal movements? And how can you get force feedback to keep Stone awake during the race?

Is this going to be an actual disc release or a title update to FM3 that enables Kinect support?
If it's an actual disc release then I'd like Forza Kinect to be FM3 with FM2's multiplayer lobbies, more tracks, realistic AWD swaps (ie: no AWD on Vipers, Ford GTs, etc) and use Kinect to follow your head movements so you can look at the rear view and side mirrors like you're actually driving a car.

What concerns me is that they ditched the onboard processor that was rumor to be part of Kinect in the early days. That means cpu time that could go toward physics, sound & graphics is going to be diverted to checking if I move my head (no way would i give up a real wheel either btw). That is double plus ungood. FM4 is looking more and more like a no-buy and it's still over a year away. Imagine once they release more details. What's next, cause the car to drift by dancing around the room like a fool?
And as for moving your head to look left & right, this sounds like a great idea at first, but I can't see an implementation that will work well. If you move your head away from the screen (look left for example) then your eyes are actually pointed right. That will feel very odd compared to what would actually happen if you were looking over your left shoulder in a car.

I don't have a source but a hunch that controllers will be able to be used in conjunction with this Kinect/Natal business. If not, no thanks, I'm not sold and won't be. Holding my arms in the air for an enduro is retarded and I'd rather put the money this is going to cost into a year of iRacing because you know it won't be cheap.

They won't take FFB and physical controllers away from the gamer/drivers, so as far as Kinect is concerned its just an optional layer of technology that MS wants to push into its best mainstream games.
What is FM4?
So far it's all the same fail that FM3 has become, but now with even less technology/processor space for simple fixes like white wheels, backfire flames, lobby tuning, 10+ players online, etc. etc.
Kintect is cool, i'll get it for the tech it represents, but its still just an expansion of merchandise to keep up with the competition. It should NOT be integrated with every mainstreamed game just to try and support itself.
FM3 is fine(but not complete).
Kinetic is cool.
FM4 + Kinect = farther and farther away from what I loved about FM in the first place.
As a sim driver, T10 needs to fix what they have before they start adding layers of fluff.
Unfortunately, T10 have found success in mainstream mediocrity, and they will most likely just expand on what they have created,....accessibilty, incompleteness, and omission of detail.

I'm hoping that they use the motion stuff for enhancing some of the other types of games...not big on head movement for the exact reason hek said.. but hand gestures to give hand signals or reload or open doors might be cool in first person shooters.
im sure there are ways that being able to move your hands as a secondary controller might be cool. I say ditch the name and go with Reno's naming convention.
The xbox gaytarded.. has a nice ring

A little tidbit from a T10 blog....
It's been an exciting road to E3 for Turn 10. We debated long and hard on whether this E3 was the right time to show the world what we've been working on for the past 6 months; with the reactions we've been getting so far from the press, it looks like this decision definitely paid off for Forza. Scanning our own forums as well as others, it appears there are plenty of questions about what "Forza Motorsport Preview" actually is. At this point, we're not saying a whole except to confirm the following facts:
The Forza Motorsport Preview we showed during the Xbox 360 keynote was all running in real-time and in-game. Yes, the gorgeous Ferrari 458 Italia you saw is testament to the prowess of our new graphics engine and the overall power of the Xbox 360.
The demo we showed is not additional DLC for Forza Motorsport 3. This will be Turn 10's "next big thing" and will be a full-fledged Forza Motorsport experience launching in 2011.
The future of Forza will be enhanced by Kinect. We are creating a game that will truly be accessible by audiences of all racing pedigrees. That said, we are not leaving our core players behind. There will be plenty here for both newbies and veterans. It's Forza Motorsport. We know what we do best.

"we are not leaving our core players behind"
Who are your core players now? The kids who drive AWD Vipers and spend 1000s of MS points on car packs? You left behind your old core players from FM1 and FM2 with FM3's release.
