Series Details

When will the races be held?
  • Races will be held at 10pm Eastern each Sunday
  • I will start a private room at least 30 mins before that time to practice and organize

What is the race schedule?
  • Jan. 17th - Silverstone International - 10 Laps
  • Jan. 24th - Mugello Full - 10 Laps
  • Jan. 31st - Tsukuba Full - 15 Laps
  • Feb. 7th - Laguna Seca - 10 Laps
  • Feb. 14th - Road Atlanta - 10 Laps

What are we racing?  Grin
The Restrictions are as follows:
  • Class A Only
  • AWD is not allowed
  • 3001 to 4000lb weight limit
  • Adjustable Aero is not allowed
  • Race Tires are mandatory
  • Vehicle must be 1980 or later model

Other Restrictions:
  • Once you race, you must use that same vehicle for the remainder of the 5 week season
  • However, you are allowed to change your part configuration and tune between races

More Details
  • Random starting grid
  • The vehicle used by the overall winner of each season will be retired until further notice
  • No paint requirements, but if you're sporting some EXOR logos I might be less likely to seriously damage your car when I'm within striking distance.  Wink

Points System and Room Splits
Points
  • 1st - 20 points
  • 2nd - 18 points
  • 3rd - 16 points
  • 4th - 14 points
  • 5th - 12 points
  • 6th - 11 points
  • 7th - 10 points
  • 8th - 9 points

Room Splits

Currently there is not going to be an "A" and "B" room as we've done in the past, we'll simply split the rooms randomly the first week and then do the room split based on points. Yes, I realize after the first week the "slower" room will be getting the same amount of points as the other one but if you win a race in the "slower" room then you'll most likely be bumped up into the top one and then you'll really have to prove yourself.

It should all even out in the end. It can always be changed if there are problems.

Rewards
TBD But we'll definitely figure something out!  Wink

Please, don't hesitate to give me feedback or ask any questions you may have. My hope is that this will be a very simple/easy racing series for those of us that have trouble making the other great EXOR events during the week.

Also, if you don't already have me on your friends list, add me. GT: Bubbleking
I'll be actively testing different car/track combos and building my own car until the first race so I'd love to have some company.

Re: Series Details

Sounds fun, just to be clear though, winning means you need to build a new car for the next race?  What if there is more than one room? Whose the winner then?  It does sound like a good way to keep from having one car dominate the series.

I read that differently Reno.

Re: Series Details

I read it as "session", season makes way more economic sense.  I think I just need new glasses today, either that or my blood alcohol level is too low right now.

Hehe, yeah, the overall winner of each full season (5 weeks) will have to retire their specific car.  Smiley

And as you said, it's to eliminate cars that could potentially end up being dominant.

 Hello Bubbleking,

New to the forum and was interested in your A class event.

I have an A class "Marlboro" F430 Ferrari I would like to race, with all the welcome restrictions.

 Thanks............

Re: Series Details

Looks interesting, Bubble, I hope to make it for this Sunday.  Too bad about the AWD thingy, now I am going to wreck someone's pretty paint job....

Yep! Basically, I'm trying to make this as painless as possible. It is intended to be something that is easy for guys to just jump into on a Sunday night and have a little fun while still doing competitive racing.
