Re: Inside Sim Racing Forza 3 race

I signed up.  Should be fun racing with those guys and I like the room settings for the race.  RWD only, everything forced off and corkpit view only.

C400 is the car spec.  Now, what to drive, what to drive?  I want to kick some butt......   Grin

EDIT #1 - Alright, I've come up with my starting list of cars I'm considering with their opening PI.  From experience I can tell you the Ferrari 512 TR is a beast on top speed, acceleration, and handling but I'm not sure it'll drop all the way to 400.  The NSX will probably make it there with the right parts combination.  From there I think the strongest conpetitors will be the RX-7 and Boxter, although that S2000 may be the dark horse if you can stuff a turbo or supercharger in it to raise top speed.  The Vette and Fairlady are good cars but both suffer from a case of the heavies and doubt they will make the cut.

512 TR           C411
NSX 1997   C409
Corvette GS   C395
RX-7           C394
Boxster S   C392
S281      C387
Fairlady Z   C375
S2000      C360

EDIT #2 - Is it pineappley to drive the NSX?

Re: Inside Sim Racing Forza 3 race

I'm in.  I will probably be running the FC RX7.  I've got a really nasty one at C425 that I'll detune for the PI cap.

I don't think I can gift it Open as it is locked.  Just go on storefront search and type in keyword iRacing, I think its under 10k or maybe even free can't remember.

Re: Inside Sim Racing Forza 3 race

Got a pretty good looking paintjob going on.  I've made a quick and dirty ISR logo for a number placard, I've sent it over to the two that have already signed up on the official thread.  The Klipsch logo at the bottom actually comes from BimmerLoverE39 but it looked awesome with the placard so it got included.

Re: Inside Sim Racing Forza 3 race

Well, both the Ferrari and NSX are out.  The NSX would get down to 401.  So close......   Cry

I'm going to rule out the S2000 as well.  Just not enought top speed for the oval .....and the oval is where it's at on that track.

I'm think I'm going with the RX-7 as well but need to drop a decent EXOR paint job on it.

Re: Inside Sim Racing Forza 3 race

You might also look into the Hyundai Genesis.  I think it starts right around 400 but I'm not certain.  I know I race against a stock one in one of my better C425 cars and it kept up with ease.  Problem is, I don't remember its PI stock.

Re: Inside Sim Racing Forza 3 race

That car didn't suit my driving style very well.  I've got a decent one in B-class but it took a LOT of tuning to get it there.  It's a porker stock if I remember.......

Re: Inside Sim Racing Forza 3 race

Anyone have a decent time to look for?  I ran a couple laps in practice and got a 1:42.08, I was using a controller so I know I can go faster with a wheel though..
