The Paint Booth - My Creations

The Livery Editor isn't really my specialty but I still find it enjoyable and challenging.  As always, if you are a full Exodus member the paint is free of charge.  Just shoot me a PM or post in this thread and I'll get you sorted out.

Of course, if you're feeling generous you can purchase any of these paints through my Storefront.  Please be sure to rate the paint.  Your HONEST opinions/criticisms are welcome.

The paint booth is a wonderful distraction from the insanity of children, just be thankful you only have to deal with your own, imagine being trapped in a room with thirty of the little mites  Grin.

BEEEOUUTIFUL Massa old bean.

Great work Detrick, where do you find the time?  My wife would kill me if I ever spent that much time on any game....that is why all of my paints will be lame or purchased from the auction house...

Re: The Paint Booth - My Creations

Odd..  the difference from the paint booth to the track is there for sure, I've experienced it on multiple cars but never to that extent.  The blue on that Camaro I was running last night was purple before I got into some of the track lighting.  The best info I can give you is the obvious stuff, keep messing with it until it looks right on a track.  Are you customizing the color or using defaults?

I would also look at adjusting your tv settings if you can.  Find a color bar and see if your saturation and contrast are correct.  If you're using custom settings for the tv, maybe try using some of the defaults?

Re: The Paint Booth - My Creations

The TV settings are good.  I was using the advanced color options but it still isn't dark enough for my taste.  I'm going to try again tonight with a deeper green and more fiddling.  Making it so dark it looks black in the paint booth is likely the way to go it would seem.

Re: The Paint Booth - My Creations

Another thing to note is that once you upload from the game to the daught gnet, the image lightens up some.  I've had to take to darkening my photos in game to compensate for the change.  That or you can go into a photo editing program and adjust contrast and levels.

Still, I don't know why it would be such a tremendous change from the editor to the track.  Even the darkest greens in the editor look fairly dark on the track.  Have you tried other green shades just to see how they appear?  I wonder if there's potentially a messed up editor color, I don't use greens too often on my liveries.

Re: The Paint Booth - My Creations

OP updated with pics of the Ferrari 612 I've been working on.  I've got the Ferrari 599 GTB done but no pics yet (they seem to take a week to upload these days....)

Enjoy.
